The seminar will be held on 8 March 8 from 9 to 11 AM at the Anaheim Marriott in Platinum Ballroom 5. It is a free event and open to all attendees of the expo.
Jeff Crowther, HPA-China Executive Director, said: "I remember the first time the association held this event. It was on the second floor of the convention centre, with an audience of about 20.
"In 2017, we saw a 10-fold increase in attendance. This growth coincides with the increased interest in China's supplement industry."
This year's agenda has speakers from China Gate Consulting, HPA-China, Informa, Nielsen Group, NSF International and SF Express.
E-commerce overview
Topics will include: the latest supplement regulations, market environment, consumer trends, social media, cross border e-commerce, logistics, quality assurance, and an introduction to the new expo SupplySide China — of which NutraIngredients-Asia is the international media partner — taking place in Guangzhou in June.
Crowther added: "I've been living in China since 2005 and in that time, I've seen first-hand China's rise as a dominate player in the world of supplements.
"Not only is China a major destination for sourcing ingredients for supplements, but it is now a major market for the sales of finished supplements.
"Although it is a difficult market, it's not one to be ignored. It's the association's hope that the seminar will encourage small- and medium-sized players to investigate the potential."
