The awards ceremony, which took place at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, recognised APAC’s best product development and brightest research in the nutrition and supplements industry.

NutraIngredients-Asia Editor-in-Chief Gary Scattergood said: “We had more than 100 ​entries and reducing these to a shortlist, and then picking a winner, was a huge challenge.​

“That’s why​ I’d like to thank our independent and expert panel of judges across business and academia, which have spent many hours assessing and evaluating all the entries in great detail​.”     

Probiotic Product Of The Year​

Angel Nutritech Yeast Probiotics Powder​

The main strains of this product, Rhamnose Lactobacillus ​LGG, Animal Bifidobacterium ​BB-12 and Saccharomyces Boulardii ​BLD-3, have proven effective in resolving gut problems, especially in diarrhoea caused by rotavirus infection, intestinal flora disturbance, and antibiotics.

According to Scattergood: “This was a highly competitive category and Angel Yeast’s victory is testament to the company’s range of products spanning all life stages.”​     

Botanical Product Of The Year​

Containing a blend of herbal extracts from ginkgo, Korean ginseng and brahmi as well as alpha-lipoic acid, this product provides cognitive, circulatory and antioxidant support, and enhance learning and memory functions.

Omega-3 Product Of The Year​

Super DHA Plus Lutein - Carlson Laboratories​

Carlson Super DHA plus Lutein provides the beneficial omega-3 DHA plus a special blend of Lutemax 2020. Lutemax 2020 contains lutein, zeaxanthin (RR-zeaxanthin), and meso-zeaxanthin (RS-zeaxanthin) to boost brain power.
