Owned by the Health & Happiness Group (H&H), the wellness and vitamin brand relaunched its skin care business in April 2020, to complement its supplement business.
“Although we have had a skin care range for several years, we are increasingly making it a core focus of the business. We have heavily invested time, effort, and innovation in skin care as it is organically symbiotic to our vitamin and supplement products,” said Nick Mann, managing director at Swisse Wellness.
The new Swisse Beauty relaunch saw 10 new products, upgrades to existing formulas, and a new packaging look. The range includes supplements as well as skin care products.
New product development
Last year, Swisse Beauty launched a range of collagen powders targeting skin elasticity from within.
In 2020, it also launched the Glow range, consisting of Manuka honey-based cleanser and moisturiser.
In March this year, Swisse Beauty announced the launch of the Renew range with three hydrating skin care products to restore the skin.
The products are the bio-ceramides defence cream, bio-retinol night cream and polypeptide sleep mask, developed to improve skin texture and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
Most recently in April, Swisse added a Sleep & Renew Booster into this range.
The supplement contains vitamin A, C, chamomile and hops to support skin repair and collagen formation.
A serum is set to launch in May, rounding up the Renew range.
This pairing of supplements and skin care is the first of three from Swisse set to launch this year.
“We are continuously innovating so expect to see a lot of exciting news launching from Swisse Beauty,” Mann said.
Best-sellers
According to Mann, there have been increasing demand for vitamins, nutraceuticals and skin care incorporating scientific based active ingredients and functional benefits that address specific needs.
Among its best-selling supplements from the new Swisse Beauty category is a collagen supplement containing collagen peptide, grape seed and co-enzyme Q10 to support collagen production as well as help reduce free radical damage to body cells.
Another popular supplement is a hair, skin and nail formula containing vitamin C, silica and biotin to support collagen production.
“There’s a big market for beauty-from-within products in Australia and overseas. These products are popular among health-conscious consumers, who believe it is equally as important to support their skin health not only with what they apply to their skin, but also what with they feed their skin from the inside out,” Mann said.
Vitamin heritage
“By leveraging our unique vitamin heritage, we have become leaders within beauty nutrition, and our targeted nutrients for skin have received an overwhelming response from consumers.”
