Last month, Nestle China launched Yiyang probiotics protein powder which claims to strengthen the body’s immunity.
Being the company’s first blue-hat certified health food for healthy ageing, the product contains the strain Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) and is designed for individuals from 45 and above.
On the other hand, Australia-based brand Aunulife will be launching new infant nutrition product containing Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus MP-108 this month in China. The strain has been showed to reduce allergies.
Elsewhere in South Korea, Maeil Dairies has also launched new probiotics for gut health and normal immune function under the brand Selex. Two strains, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum HEAL9 and Lacticaseibacillus paracasei 8700:2, are the key ingredients of the new product.
In terms of new scientific studies, there has been new findings published on the cognitive benefits of Bifidobacterium breve MCC-1274 – the proprietary strain of Morinaga Milk, PepsiCo’s Imunele yogurt, Bright Dairy’s JCAN Qingrun yogurt, and Danone’s synbiotic infant formula.
