A new academy has been launched in India designed to improve skill sets across the nutraceutical sector, which has high hopes of becoming a US$100bn market by 2030.

The Nutrify Today Academy features online lectures and modules from a raft of industry professionals and academics, and tackles topics ranging from new product development, to regulation, and marketing.

Amit Srivastava, from Nutrify Today, said: “India is currently US$8bn market, however exports can grow significantly.

“Stakeholders in the sector predict that by 2025, the industry would be valued US$40bn and by 2030, it will be worth US$100bn. And, human resources would be needed to generate this growth.”

Nutrify Today Academy expects to train at least 5,000 professionals by 2023. To accommodate international students, it will increase capacity to 25,000 by 2024.

“The courses are curated to create professionals who are career-ready, and the industry is eagerly looking for professionals who are knowledgeable about formulations and active nutraceutical ingredients, as well as scientific and business needs,” he added.

The Nutrify Today Academy will first focus on the Indian market before expanding to other key nutraceutical markets via its online and contact centres.

Universities such as GITAM, Centurion University, AIC-CCMB, National Research and Development Corporation of India, Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, and others have strong academic affiliations with the organisation.
