Healthy Ageing approach: New Arjuna Natural CEO highlights strategy to expand market share in Asia
Arjuna Natural is eyeing growth in APAC’s healthy ageing sector, said newly appointed CEO Anup Krishnan.
“Health and wellness is going to be a critical area, so any of those health management like cognitive health, diabetes, or pulmonary health, joint management, pain management, geriatric population needs to be taken care of in those areas,” he told us.
Aside from healthy ageing, the company is also going to focus on developing new formulas for use in nutricosmetics, cosmetics, and pet care further down the road.
Blackmores CEO: Strong growth in Indonesia from vitamin D3, zinc success
Blackmores’s vitamin D3 and zinc sales in Indonesia are fast-growing, the Australian brand’s CEO Alastair Symington has revealed.
Revenue in Indonesia was up 110 per cent as compared to the same period last year, the company announced its H1 FY22 results.
It sells the product Blackmores Vitamin D3 1000 IU capsule in pharmacy chains, independent pharmacies through its local partner Kalbe Farma, and has reached 6,000 new independent pharmacies throughout Indonesia in H1 FY22.

Trade challenge resolved: Australia and Vietnam reach agreement to solve supplement export dispute
Australia and Vietnam have agreed to improve access of certain Australian supplements to the Vietnamese market, after a bureaucratic dispute threatened to hit trade.
Recently, Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) announced that the Vietnam Food Authorities (VFA) have agreed to accept Certificates of Pharmaceutical Product (CPPs) or Certificates of Listed Product (CLPs) for supplement products from Australia.
Previously, there were uncertainties surrounding export certification requirements, especially since certain supplements and complementary medicines that were regulated as therapeutic goods in Australia were regulated as foods in Vietnam.
