Goodness from Greece: New olive oil, pomegranate-based functional food enters Singapore
Six new functional food products made using Greek-grown olive oil and pomegranate were introduced into Singapore recently.
Launched under the brand Milestone Food for your Genes, the six liquid functional foods are developed by Greek firm Of Dreams & Knowledge and was introduced into Singapore by the local team this month.
The star ingredients used are high phenolic olive oil and fermented pomegranate with seed extract.

Nestle Health Science’s probiotics brand Garden of Life has launched two new probiotics targeted at kids’ growth and immune health on China’s offline retail market.
The probiotic strains in the products include Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG, Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus HN001, Bifidobacterium animalis BB-12, and Bifidobacterium lactis HN019.
Both new products, which come in the form of solid beverages, are sold as general foods.
Tapping potential: Indian nutra firm Diabliss to develop 10 new herbal water products
Chennai-based nutraceutical and food firm Diabliss Consumer Products is developing another 10 herbal water supplements – on top of its five existing products – to tap the lucrative potential of the general wellness market in the country.
The 10 bottled products will target issues on gut health, stress, sleep disorders, immunity, cholesterol, energy, rejuvenation, memory and growth.
They are still in the research and development (R&D) phase and expected to be commercialised around September to December 2023, starting with India, said the firm’s co-founder and COO Shiv Vallabhaneni.
Nature’s Way strikes first brick-and-mortar pharmacy deal in South Korea with Onnuri Pharmacy
Australia’s Pharmacare Laboratories is growing the market presence of its dietary supplement brand Nature’s Way in South Korea via its first pharmacy deal with local chain Onnuri.
Nature’s Way entered the South Korean market three years ago, starting with e-commerce platforms Coupang, Gmarket, GS Shop, Shinsegae, and Nature’s Way online Shopping Mall and currently sells 10 product SKUs online.
The brand has chosen the bestselling products online to sell in Onnuri, which Dean Curotta, GM – rest of Asia & Pacific told NutraIngredients-Asia included vitamin C, its Kids Smart Vita Gummies, and products related to cognitive health.

Australia’s plant-based infant formula brand Sprout Organic aims to introduce new packaging sizes and widen its offerings in the infant formula and supplementary food categories for young children, according to its founder and CEO Selasi Berdie.
The original formula is packaged in tins of 700g, but the brand has also released a 700g pouch. Later this year, the brand will release a 176g pouch for sale in convenience stores.
The brand is moving towards compostable pouches made from plant-based materials. However, there will be a battery of shelf-life and durability tests to ensure product safety.
