South Korea’s Chong Kun Dang Healthcare (CKDHC) is tapping on the ongoing GLP-1 boom with the launch of a probiotic formula which it said could support the body’s production of the appetite hormone.
Sold under the name GLPitDIET, the product, which the firm claimed was the first-of-its-kind in South Korea, could serve as an alternative to Saxenda – the prescription injectable used for weight loss.
The active ingredient that is said to work in the GLP-1 pathway in the capsule supplement is the probiotic strain Bifidobacterium longum NBM7-1.

Known as fibro, the brand caters to the health-conscious, active female consumers who are looking for more convenient ways to supplement their dietary fibre intake.
