Nature’s Farm to launch menopause support, senior-specific probiotics amid healthy ageing boom

Singapore-based supplements firm Nature’s Firm will be launching menopause support products and probiotics targeted at older consumers on the back of growing demand for healthy ageing solutions.

There is a “clear upward trend” in the use of supplements among consumers aged 50 and above, the firm observed.

The menopause support formulas will address hormonal balance and well-being, while probiotics will support gut health, immunity, and balanced lifestyle.

Tolak Angin, a popular herbal syrup used in Indonesia for common cold and bloating, is reinventing itself with a sugar-free variant.

Sido Muncul, the Indonesian company behind the product, said the new launch was in anticipation of a sugar tax in country, as well as meeting the demand for less-sugar products – especially among young consumers.

First formulated in 1930, the product is formulated with ginger, mint, fennel, screw tree, clove leaves, and honey.

Kirin sets 300bn yen revenue goal for health science business

Kirin has set the revenue goal of 300bn yen (US$1.95bn) for its health science business by 2030, the firm said during its investor day held last month.

Kirin will be combining the strengths of both Blackmores and FANCL in achieving the goals – which also include a normalised operating profit margin of 10 per cent or more by 2030.

One of its strategies is to focus on “natural health”, which includes immune care and holistic health management.

Beyond pads: Rael’s holistic menstrual cycle care business gains traction

Rael, which started off with organic sanitary pad products, is seeing opportunities in the area of holistic menstrual cycle care, including women’s health supplements.

CEO Yanghee Paik told us that the firm’s goal was to provide solutions to women throughout their 28-day menstrual cycle.

The products Hormonal Balance Supplement powder and Vaginal Health Probiotic capsules are some of its bestsellers in both South Korea and the US where its supplement products are sold.

CW urges less fixation on body image, more holistic approach to weight management

Singapore’s nutra and wellness firm CW is reformulating and expanding its range of products to support weight management holistically, founder Cheryl Wee told us.

For instance, it has added sleep support to its line-up, as sleep quality affects hunger hormones and sleep deprivation can lead to weight gain.

The company is also retailing its products on its official website in a bid to reach out to a wider audience, including men.
